As you know from one of my previous posts: essential oils are great for numerous things like reducing stress, curing health issues or skin care. But they are also great for your hair. Essential oils can help your hair get thicker, they can prevent hair loss and last but not least they have the power to boost your hair growth.

As you know from one of my post My 8 Favorite Items For Spring, I absolutely love Lavender oil. Once a week before I massage lavender oil into my hair and let it soak overnight. Lavender oil is very good for your hair roots as it makes them stronger what leads to less hair loss and a bigger hair volume.

Besides lavender oil there are four other essential oils that I want to introduce you.

  1. Rosemary oil: Rosemary oil is the most important essential oil for hair growth. Not only does it increase “rapid” hair growth it does also stimulate new hair growth. Applying rosemary oil to your hair and scalp will stimulate microcirculation in the scalp and strengthen the hair roots.
  2. Cedarwood oil: Cedarwood oil can be used alone or together with Rosemary oil as they work well together. It stimulates the hair follicles and following prevents hair loss and treats thinning hair.
  3. Lemongrass oil: This oil can be combined with lavender and rosemary oil to fight oily hair and as an overall hair treatment. Aromatherapists believe that lemongrass oil can strengthen your hair follicles and add more shine.
  4. Ylang Ylang oil: Ylang Ylang oil is the number one stress reducer and therefore prevents stress-related hair loss as well as hair loss in general. It conditions the hair and improves hair health overall.

These are my top five essential oils. I hope you like it and you will try it out. Don’t forget to leave me a comment with your favorite essential oils so I can try them out as well.
